Toyota to move more production abroad

With the increase of yen value to near-record high Toyota Motor Corp will plan to move more of its production overseas. Last year, 45 percent of its cars is produce in Japan. Because of the currency, Toyota is less profitable and Korean won on the other hand is benefiting from its weaker won. Operating profit was cut by $3.6 billion.

Toyota will plan to have more investment in southeast Asia and also China. So good news for people in our region while Japanese jobs may be impacted.
