Saga in Australia ? A Reality !

Proton have announced recently that they will be launching the cheapest car in Australia around 2010, not sure the exact date yet.

The model that Proton mentioned is the Proton Saga, which will be powered by a 1.6L Campro Engine. Funny to think that they always give the better stuff to export models, as the local Sagas only have a 1.3L Campro engine.

Just wondering what do they mean by the cheapest car in Australia haha, maybe it will be going for like 5,000-7,000 AUD ?

The sound coming from an engine revving to its limits is really music to my ears !

  1. Well I have seen a lot of Proton Stria when i was there in Australia. Guess they see a market there in aust. But the Proton Saga does not really look nice, they rather export Satria Neo, it looks better and the performance is better.

  2. I have a SAGA and I think it is comfortable on long journeys.
