Nissan GT-R Named World Performance Car
NEW YORK — The Nissan GT-R has been named World Performance Car, edging the Porsche 911 Carrera and the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The GT-R broke a three-year German stranglehold on the award; the previous winners were the Audi R8 (2008), the Audi RS4 (2007) and the Porsche Cayman S (2006).
It truly deserve the title of the World Performance Car in World Car of the Year Honor Roll. Not only its look is stunningly nice, the heart of the car is also powered by a superb engine. One of our lucky Daily Torque’s editor manage to drive behind the wheel of a Nissan GT-R. It definitely deserves to be class along side by side with the German’s Automaker of Audi and Porsche.
