Lotus missed out on a £27.5 million loan from the government

With Lotus missing out the £27.5 million loan from the government to expand its manufacturing facility, it would mean that the production of the new 5 Lotus Concept Cars that was showcased in autu shows will be delay, including 2013 Esprit to overseas market.

Despite not getting the loan Lotus’s parent firm, Proton mentioned that they secured a £270m loan from six Malaysian banks, which is 10 times the original loan from UK Government.

Manufacturers that able to secure the loan ar Nissan, Jaguar Land Rover, Bentley and General Motors.
