Hybrid Race – Hyundai is in !
Recently Hyundai have joined the other automakers in the Hybrid race by offering its own Hybrid model.
Instead of creating a Hybrid model, Hyundai uses the flagship Sonata model.
This Hybrid will emit 99 grams of CO2 / Kilometer which definitely achieves the toughest Tier 4 of the European Emissions Standards. In tier 4 the limit was 500g / km.
This car has been developed for about 3 years and Hyundai have invested roundabout 200 million USD on it.
It is said that the Hybrid Sonata will be available in Korea from mid-2010 onwards. But there are no plans for export yet.
