Kia has officially release 2 pictures of the upcomming 2011 Kia Optima ahead of the New York International Auto Show next month. As spoken by Kia’s Chief Design Officer’s Peter Schreyer, “The next generation of Kia Optima possesses the power to suprise”. It truly shows a bolder side of Kia, as it is with their release of 2010 Kia Forte design.

From the first glimpse of the picture, the headlight caught our attention with something similar to the current Audi’s model, but yet different. Unfortunately we do not have any technical specifications. We will be looking foraward to see some 2.0-litre for the lowest range and also a V6 model. Not sure if a hybrid will be release as well.

Can’t wait for this Naza Kia Optima to arrive at Malaysia to take an actual look of this car.

As the new BMW 5 Series sedan release to the market, BMW unveil its new BMW 5 Series Touring carrying similar design as the new 5 Series becoming a station wagon. Under the hood of the top of the line 5 Series Touring will be the 535i, which is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-scroll turbo with 306bhp.

The clear advantage of this over the sedan is the space for luggage. With the rear seat folded, the luggage compartment will increase to a maximum of 1,670 litres from 560 litres.

Also included is the BMW ConnectedDrive that comprise of Parking Assistant Surround Vide, collision warning with brake activation in conjunction with Active Cruise Control, Lane Change Warning and a lot more other features that allows a superb driving experience with this BMW 5 Series Touring.

In Malaysia, a special meaningful car number plate is always sought after.

It starts with the Alphabet, from 1-3 alphabet and followed by 1-9999.

Depending on the state that you are registering your car, it starts with a different alphabet, like below :

Some car number plate is very difficult to get, as the good numbers are tendered and sold at a very expensive price. So i am compiling all the meaningful number plates for your references haha :p

First up will be from Wilayah Persekutuan, “WAS481″ which means “WASABI”, the Japanese Horse radish :p The 4 represents “A” and the 8 represents “B”

But i think it will be pretty hard to look for this one, as it should be way back in maybe 80s-90s, good luck

The result is 3.4 seconds from 0-60mph and 0-64 in only 10.2 seconds. Galardo top speed is a whooping 202mph. This new Superlegger will also run on e-gear transmission, which allow driver to shift gears much faster but without the driver having to control the clutch. Not to forget, you still get some fuel saving down to 17.4mpg.

All this powered by a V10 570 hp engine with a torque of 398 lb-ft at 6,500rpm.

Seriously i am still trying to get used to it. Seeing Schumi standing beside the Mercedes logo, is still quite hard for me to believe it :p

Come the newest season of F1, Michael Schumacher and his teammate Nico Rosberg will be in town earlier than the race to promote F1 in Kuala Lumpur !

They will be performing some stunts at the Petronas F1 Street demo on March 31. Should be around the KLCC area, i am not surprised haha :p

The Grand Prix will be on that weekend itself, from April 2 to April 4.

For the street demo, there will be road closures from 2pm to 8 pm on that day.

Do take note on :

·Entrance/access roads leading to the KLCC underpass and tunnel leading to KLCC parking from Jalan Tun Razak (North bound);
·Jalan Binjai and Lorong Kuda;
·Other access roads leading to the KLCC parking tunnel and Jalan Binjai from Jalan Tun Razak;
·Access roads from the intersection leading towards Jalan Binjai from Jalan Kia Peng, Jalan Conlay and Jalan Tun Razak; roads from Jalan Binjai towards Persiaran KLCC up to the traffic lights in front of PNB Darby Park; and
·Entrance and exit of KLCC parking towards Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Binjai.

For those who wish to participate in this pumped-up of speed event, i would suggest you take the Putra LRT and stop at the KLCC station to avoid the road closure and jam.

The new Toyota Vios is launched in Thailand now as per our previous post on the spyshots.

The changes to the exterior is pretty minor compared to the previous, with minor changes to the bumper, grille and the tail lamp.

On the interior side, there is an Aux out for you to plug in players for music.

Also have a lot of nice compartments around the dash area for storage purposes, this is pretty neat.

Voila, you can see that there is a “Start” Button for cranking the engine in a more stylish way :p

From the engine department the power from the 1NZ-FE is still the same as per previous with ~108hp and 141Nm of torque.

I think the highlight of the new Vios is this device that is able to display your speed on the windscreen ! Heard that it will only available for the Sportivo version which will be checked out later on.

The first time i saw this was on the Lexus which was posted earlier,  and now they are incorporating this onto the Vios.

I think they are really pushing all the stuff into the 1.5 segment to encourage going green ?

This monster was unveiled at the Geneva Motor show recently. Another supercar have entered the world !

The Agera is powered by a 4.7L V8 engine capable of producing…………..910 HPPPPPPPPP !!!

Whats up with the supercars lately, how are they packing so much power into the engine, i really wonder sometimes..

And the torque…..1096 Nm !!!! I think you will need to be very very fit to take the amount of Gs when driving this car and sustain through !

The century run takes about 3.1 secs which is totally impressive ! Wait till you see the dash, that will be even more impressive !

Is this really a car’s meter ? It really looks like a spaceship meter to me haha :p

There is this new thing called “Ghost Lighting” being installed in the interior, where they use invisible nanotubes and the lighting shines through making it look like solid aluminium buttons. Some say that this kind of thing is only for concecpt cars, but they are putting this car in production !
