WRAPTIVO Honda CR-Z Type F

The Honda CR-Z (Compact Renaissance Zero) will get a makeover by WRAPTIVO. The CR-Z Type-F will be wrap in matte black (seems like this is the trend) While the root, hood and part of the center section of the bumper will be wrapped with di-noc Carbon Fiber film.

The kit also comes with a full aero kit and the obvious glossy red wheels. Performance boost will include a supercharger system (on the hybrid, sounds great to us), suspension package, Tuned ECU, exhaust system and also help from other Honda Accessories partners.

2010 Honda Accord – Review

Sharing my driving experience on this 2010 Honda Accord. My little family picked this car because it is extra spacious and we like the look of this car. I am fortunate enough to driven 3 different models of Accord, 1991, 1996 and 2011 Accord in my life. I must say that the car is just getting bigger. Unfortunately I could only afford the 2.0-liter model which I believe it is under power as the fuel consumption is rated better on the 2.4-liter.

I am doing pretty good with the 2010 Honda Accord fuel consumption with a RM0.205/km with the current fuel price of 1.85/liter. My driving is mostly short highway. Drove this baby for almost 2 months now.

The interior of this looks luxury but does not look as futuristic as other car manufacturer. Even Civic and City have nicer dashboard. But the radio centerpiece down to the center hand rest looks great and elegant. Overall I do not have problem other than my power window, the driver side seems to be disconnected to the passenger side. I complain during the first service, it was claimed to be fixed but it is now disconnected. They claimed that the tinting company did not put it back properly, and they did the tinting before handed the new car to me.

Malaysia Honda Racing Ultimate Challenge Contest

Just got an email from Honda Racing Malaysia about this contest, Honda Racing Ultimate Challenge. The contest is quite weird as there is three phase.

Phase 1
Answer 5 questions and complete a slogan (I am Honda Racing’s Ultimate Fan because…..).

Phase 2
Each qualifier is entitled to bring a friend to compete amoung 30 teams in a Go Kart challenge held on 7 August, 2010

Phase 3
20 teams will face off in a suprise finale held on the very day of the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race

Prizes up for grab are quite interesting as well, it is all sum upto RM40,000 worth of merchandise, but something weird is that the big prizes are all Apple products.

Grand Prize: 2 x Apple MacBook per team
2nd Prize: 2 x Apple iPhone 3GS per team
3rd Prize: 2 x Apple iPod touch per team
Consulation prize: 28 x Alpinestars auto racing merchandise

Audi R8 V10 v Honda Civic Type R Mugen

Comparing a £38,599 Honda Civic Type R Mugen and a Audi R8 V10 with a price tag of £103,810 is just overkill. But nevertheless, AudoCar did it but it is more of a driving experience in the curvy mountain road. Definitely on the track the Civic Type R would be smoked but the Honda Civic Type R is still a great public road car.

2011 Honda Accord Facelift

This is a facelift from the 8th Generation Honda Accord (2008-2010). This is the American Model that is expected to be selling this Fall. The Honda at the United States has various models with El, EX-L, Lx. Their model come standard with a 2.4-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder 177-hp engine compare to our Malaysian Honda Accord that uses a 2.0-liter engine.
This new 2011 Honda Accord has better fuel economy. Predicted with fuel economy of 21 mpg on city and 30 mpg on highway on the automotic transmission. Exterior look has slight changed with the rear chrome piece below the brake light. Break lights has also change to a star shape LED light. A simplified front bumper is observed from the pictures.

The 2011 Honda Accord coupe will also be launch together with the sedan.

2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite

Honda has officially unveiled the 2011 Odyssey Touring Elite. It is claimed that the new 2011 Honda Odyssey is lower and more aerodynamic, but we find it weird that the design is less sporty from the picture due to the bigger grill and headlight. The Odyssey will be powered by a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 engine with estimated fuel mileage of 19 mpg for city drive and 28 mpg on highway.

This Odyssey is trying to connect to their market segment with their jam-packed features. It will come with HID front headlights, 18″ alloy wheels with 12.6 inch ventilated front disc brakes, power tailgate and power side mirrors with integrated turn indicators.

The interior features include a 12 speakers premium audio sound system, Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with Voice Activation, Ultra-Wide Rear Entertainment System with split-screen capability (one cool screen), External HDMI input, 150-watt AC power outlet (useful at times), Removable 1st row center console, cool box, 10 way power driver’s seat with memory, LATCH child seat anchors in five seating positions, One-strap stowable third row magic seat (watch the video, quite nice features), sunshades for second and third row passenger, 15 beverage holders and trash bag ring (simple and useful features).

It seems that a lot of time, efforts and thoughts are taken to make this Odyssey the ultimate family car and especially for the younger generation.

We love the design of the 5th Generation Honda Civic, especially the hatchback model. We love the AWD Subaru Impreza WRX. What you are looking on above is the Civic with the heart of a Subaru Impreza WRX.

This is simply an art by putting a wrecked Subaru Impreza, looks like the second generation WRX (no mention of STi Model, but good enough). Getting a stronger engine, with a AWD into the body of Honda Civic will be the dream of many Civic owners. This is most probably a Turbo-charged 227 hp AWD engine compare to the fastest Honda B16A that provides 160hp for this Civic.
