2011 Kia Optima

Kia has officially release 2 pictures of the upcomming 2011 Kia Optima ahead of the New York International Auto Show next month. As spoken by Kia’s Chief Design Officer’s Peter Schreyer, “The next generation of Kia Optima possesses the power to suprise”. It truly shows a bolder side of Kia, as it is with their release of 2010 Kia Forte design.

From the first glimpse of the picture, the headlight caught our attention with something similar to the current Audi’s model, but yet different. Unfortunately we do not have any technical specifications. We will be looking foraward to see some 2.0-litre for the lowest range and also a V6 model. Not sure if a hybrid will be release as well.

Can’t wait for this Naza Kia Optima to arrive at Malaysia to take an actual look of this car.

  4. 2011 Kia Rio has already won top safety pick this year… And, most of the Kia cars are making records in 2011, including the 2011 Kia Optima!

Kia is making a great move towards the hybrid cars too, and perhaps it’s going to be as good as it’s parent organization – Hyundai in a matter of few years…

  5. The Kia Optima 2011 will be launched by mid August which is this month, cant wait to go see it in the flesh. Hope the interior is as good as the exterior. Then it will definately sell like hot cakes..

  6. I Just heard that Kia Optima Hybrid sales increased 300 percent from a month ago. In addition, Kia’s parent company Hyundai Motor Company sold more than 1700 units of its Sonata hybrid beating Honda Insight and Ford Fusion hybrids.

This is kind of cool for a newcoming models from Kia and Hyundai.

    Best, kia fan

  7. Had a chat with a few KIA dealers yesterday. Got a pretty consistent story across. Optima will not be arriving here in Sept 2011 but towords end of the year! Sighhh. Apparently due to AP issues. Even the Sportage is having AP problems. Dealers said that there are a lot of Sportage stuck at Port Klang waiting for AP. Those few Sportage that you see on the street are showroom units. Anyone can confirm all these?
