The previously release 2011 Kia Optima is officially launched for the market. Designed in Frankfurt, Germany. The new Kia Optima bolder look is hoping to get a bigger share of the mid-size sedan market. Available in three models, LX, EX and SX. The options for the engines available are a 2.4-liter GDI fourcylinder that produces 200 hp, a 2.0-liter GDI turbo produces a whooping 274 hp mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and lastly the 2.4-liter hybrid engine.

Similar with other Kia lineup like the highest model Forte, the 2011 Optima is equip with six aiarbags, front active headrests, side-impact door beams, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (I would like this on my accord 🙂 ), ABS, ESC, Traction Control Brake Assist System (BAS) and Hill Assist Control (HAC).

The gadgets will include USB audio input jacks, Bluetooth 3 wireless technology with steering wheel mounted voice activation controls to enable hands-free operation for compatible phones. The EX will be coming with UVO powered by Microsoft 4 hands-free in-car entertainment and communication system with rear-view camera, push-start ignition with smart key, dual-zone automatic air conditioning with rear vents, compass, eight-way power driver’s seat and the EX Turbo will adds wood interior trim with metal accents. We will look forward for Kia or Naza Kia to bring this Optima to Malaysia.
