2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost Preview



This will be the new toy for the Rich and Famous, The Rolls-Royce Ghost. First seen 2006 and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveiled 200EX earlier this year in the Geneva Motor show. As you can see, the exterior design does resembles a lot like the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Powered by a 6.6-litre turbocharged V12 engine, capable of producing 563 horsepower and 780Nm / 575lb ft of torque. This luxurious car or limousine will go from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 250km/h. Fuel economy is about 17.3 mpg for a mix of highway and city drive.

Rolls-Royce-Ghost-9The Ghost will all come in a two tone color whereby the silver satin bonet is actually a raw stainless steal that is treated with a plastic coating rather than painting it silver. It also uses the suicide doors for the rear passengers.

Similar to all other Rolls-Royce, it carries a mascot of “The Spirit of Ecstasy”. If it carries the same unique feature as the Phantom, it will retract when you tries to steal the mascot.

The safety feature built into the new Rolls-Royce are countless and seamlessly cool. Night Vision** camera with the capability of Pedestrian Recognition to detect object up to 300 metres away is a way cool features. The speed and navigation direction are displayed on the windscreen with the Head-up Display. Lane Departure Warning to keep you on your lane with the help of integrated camera, High Beam Assistant that dips or raises light depending on incoming light and road condition. And the Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go that will actually control the speed of your car accordingly to the car ahead. It will stop when the car ahead is coming to a standstill.


Not to forget other uniquely cool small features such as the umbrella holders that has include a dryer in it. This will be a nice feature that will be used quite often in certain countries.

This car will cost somewhere between €200,000 and €300,000. It doesn’t matter if you will drive or be drove in this car, I am sure that the experience will be simply superb.
